Problem With Twitter? Anyone?

So I log into Twitter today and all my "followers" are gone. I have zero. And, I'm following zero Tweeters.

All I see are my own tweets. Nothing else.

    What's up with this?

    Anyone?

I'm good, but a friend just tweeted that he's having the same problem.

I had 0 and 0, but everyone I followed was still up. And now it's all good again.

I think they're having issues because it's been over capacity for a while now.

My problem is I think in most instances it's useless and dumb.

I suppose you want us to get off your lawn now too.

At work, I use it for some event announcements, registration dates, drop/add deadlines. Stuff like that.
I don't use it other than for work, and I don't follow any tweeple.

I used to be in the Buck camp. Thought it was "a stupid waste of time."

But seriously, since I've registered, I can't say enough good things about it. It's incredibly timely and handy.

I think the key is what you use it for; how you use it.

    Same problem.

And for people who need to track down high school scores on demand, Twitter may be the most useful invention of all time.

I understand some of the utility for Twitter, but most of the time, in practice, it seems pretty useless.

Of course, I also don't really see much usefulness for Facebook or MySpace either.
We use them, and I have personal accounts for both, too, but there's not a lot of applicability that didn't already exist via e-mail, Web sites and RSS.
