I'd like to see Reed get in, but I think he'll have to wait another year.

Of course, I think all of my favorite Tecmo Super Bowl players should be in. :D

Put in one of Tom Benson's umbrellas that he used to tap-dance around the Superdome after victories and most of the Dome Patrol.

Part of the problem seems to be a crowded player house of deserving players. It doesn't appear to be getting worse, but it won't be helped by the vet committee nominations and the inevitable spots they sometimes take away from worthy recent greats.

There's not much doubt Tags will be in. Given Ralph Wilson's age and that he's done a pretty decent job with the Bills as Buffalo/Western NY continues to lose population over the years (i.e., still keeping a vibrant fanbase given the now-relatively small market status of the region), let him in while he can be there to give the speech.

Carter, Woodson, Kennedy, Smith, Thomas and McDaniel.

The Kennedy pick was a Seahawks fanboilooser pick.

Rod Woodson and Bruce Smith are easy picks. Russ Grimm should have been in already. Dawson belongs as well, but he may have to wait. Carter and Thomas also belong.

Also, I'm with Sam and Del regarding the comparison of Tippett and Rickey Jackson. It just takes more work to see what Jackson did because he wasn't rushing from the back side all the time.

They put far too many players in the Hall of Fame (all sports). Diminishes the honor of the truly great ones.

Andre Reed, Cris Carter and Shannon Sharpe were decent players, but certainly not in the same class with Jerry Rice and Steve Largent. Maybe they need a wing reserved for Hall of Fame All-Stars.

No love for Russ Grimm? Granted, it's ahrd to single out offensive linemen, because they work as a unit. Richard Dent? Maybe didn't withstand the test of longevity, but was the most dominant player on the most dominant defense I've ever seen. I'd take Dent ahead of Derrick Thomas, Rod Woodson, Cortez Kennedy or Rickey Jackson.

I covered Jackson. Good player, decent guy. But, admittedly, playing for New Orleans is a strike against anyone. That franchise is eternally cursed.

Tagliabue had a bigger influence on the game than any of the players on the list.

Dent over Woodson, much less the rest of those guys? Insane.

Blame the Voodoo Curse, "Who Dat?", "Cha-Ching" or anything else. But the Dome Patrol was not cursed. That defense was nothing to mess with. And any defense which can send ALL FOUR LINEBACKERS to the Pro Bowl in the same year can't be too shabby.

  12. Dawson, Randle, Smith and Thomas.

Like Bubbler, I think Rod Woodson was over-hyped. One of the all-time greats on the NFL's 75th year team? I don't know about that.

I have a hard time swallwong Carter and Sharpe as HOF'ers. Pretty goo yeah. HOF'ers. Nah.
