To me it seems like there was no way they wanted to put Carter and or Brown in with or before Rice.

Rickey Jackson never got his due, either. Until now.

Randle was good copy. And a good story, coming from nowhere. But not a HOFer.

Brown I can understand as a first-ballot guy, since, he is CLEARLY the fourth-best receiver on the list this year.

Carter hasn't made it in three tries.

Another Fred Dean pile of bullshit.

Vikings defense was a sieve with Randle trying to get sacks from DT.

Yeah, Jackson was always underrated. Glad to see him go in.

As for Haley, he's too crazy to be trusted with an acceptance speech while he's still alive ...

Just sixth all-time in sacks (more than Jackson as a DT) and a six-time All-Pro. Say what you want about the Pro Bowl, the All-Pros generally reflect the best at the position that year.

I'll grant that he became sack happy as his career progressed, but he was actually a good run defender his first 5-6 years

    Memo to Jerry Rice,

I know you've always conducted yourself with class, and I understand your gratitude to Eddie DeBartolo Jr. But while he will be there at your induction, he will not be inducted.

Anyone who tried to include votes for the deceased to get a new stadium - and keep in mind that this man was filthy stinking wealthy even by NFL owner standards - should never sniff anything resembling a Hall of Fame.

And, let's be clear about this....

Terrell Davis deserved to be elected today more than Floyd Little.

    Jesus

When Floyd Little retired, he was 7th on the NFL's career rushing list.

And, when Steve Grogan retired, he was Patriots best QB ever....

    SO WHAT.

You're probably right. Being seventh on the career rushing list is just like being a single team's best QB. Oh, and the six guys in front of him ... all HoFers.
