Alot of dark, heavy shit around here lately. So, to lighten things up... more than a few groans. Variety is tracking pilot projects for the networks. Some of them sound so bad you wonder who's smoking what.

This looks the worst to me:
    Viva Laughlin (Sony/CBS Paramount)
Exec Producers: Bob Lowry, Hugh Jackman, Paul Talegdy, John Palermo, Peter Bowker
    Writer: Bob Lowry
    Director:Gabriele Muccino
Cast: Lloyd Owen, Carter Jenkins, Ellen Woglom, Madchen Amick, Melanie Griffith, Eric Winter, P.J. Byrne
Logline: Musical drama following Ripley Holden and his family as they attempt to run a casino in Laughlin, Nev.

One word tipped it off: Musical.

It's based on a popular British TV series: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackpool_%28TV_serial%29

Pastor -- agreed. didn't "Cop Rock" teach these people anything? I think mine still wins, though, because of these two words: "Horatio Sanz"

Yes. Horatio Sanz is definitely cringe inducing. However, it still isn't a musical. Yuck.

Me & Lee - did Jenji Kohan smoke too much weed on the set of that other show of hers?
Journeyman - Hate to see "Rome" hero Lucius Vorenus get wasted on this tripe.
