Pretty damned good PUMA commercial

A friend posted this on facebook earlier, and I have to admit I've watched it a few times (and sung along more than I'd care to admit). The idea: It's match day, and Valentines, so who better than a British pub soccer crowd to sing "Truly, Madly, Deeply" to the women at home?

    Enjoy.

There you go, forcing soccer down the throats of poor Americans!

Premiership Soccer is so much cooler than anything we have. I have no problem admitting that at all.

Those lads didn't lose those teeth and get those facial scars volunteering at the local elementary school

Oh, I had no idea Puma still made shoes. Is there a cool Pony or Brooks ad on here as well?

    Really?

These are actually pretty popular with the hipsters and high schoolers.

If history is any indication, within 20 years Manchester United fans will claim this song as their own, singing it between bites of prawn sandwich

... and it still won't be cooler than "You'll Never Walk Alone."

    It's a freaking show tune.

Damn, and I thought this was about something to do with Kim Cattrall. Way to raise my hopes up.

And that "Delilah" bit was pretty awesome. Too bad most American sports fans and too involved with their iPhones and the stadiums insist on both piping in music and telling the crowds when to cheer. I really believe they think the fans have rice pudding for brains...which wouldn't be far off.

Careful where you say that, mate, or you might be on the receiving end of a "Liverpool kiss." :p
