Found it interesting that John McCain sought permission to use ABBA's "Take a Chance on Me" for his campaign after ditching "Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry and getting the Heisman from John Mellencamp for "This is our Country." ABBA also declined.
    What's next for McCain?

And what does Huckabee do now that Boston won't let him use "More than a Feeling?" "Jesus is Alright with Me?

Hillary dumped "You and Me" by Celine and has used Petty's "American Girl."

Obama seems solid with "Signed, Sealed, Delivered."

Any more appropriate songs? I've always thought "Right Now" by Van Halen would be a great song for a candidate to use.

Right now, Van Halen's publishing company is licking its lips.

  4. Do you need to get someone's permission to use a song? So long as you pay royalties, permission shouldn't matter.

you know what is really stupid - the fact that there is grown people on the campaign trail making decisions on what song to play for the Candidate, made even stupider by the fact that some voters are influenced by song.

Well given that the use of a song implies the artist has endorsed the candidate, I'd say it's a good idea.

Actually, "It's Raining Men" would work for Larry.
