Check out the bio of the SecEd appointed by the one who got to appoint such.

That's not the point. And no one, not even President Trump has said anything different, let alone said they "did something wrong".

The fact is that DACA isn't lawful. It won't hold up on court. It doesn't provide a pathway to citizenship, and it was always meant to be temporary.

This is like when we complain about a judge who enforces a law, rather than decide on his feelings, or on "fairness".

The law is what matters here, and Congress has the ability to write a new law.

Fun fact I learned going through all the SecEd bios earlier: Rod Page was head football coach at two different SWAC schools.

Well, Mr. Tough Talkin' Trump has cowered and dished the ball to Congress. Unwilling to take the big shot in crunch time. Leadership!

Will Congress do the right thing? I doubt it. But I hope so.

Republicans are too divided on the issue and there will be poisoned pills attached to any bill.

DREAM act has been passed at separate times in the House and Senate. It has bipartisan support.

But it'll never just be a stand-alone bill. And it's going to be messy.

No big deal. Just the American Dream and the lives of 800,000 upstanding, productive, tax-paying members of our society hang in the balance. People who didn't make a choice to come here as little kids, but have done everything right. Americans.

So go get some rest, Congress. Fifteen minutes. Then back to work.

Nope. Bad comparison. Trump is not a judge. What Trump is doing is trying to cynically and reprehensibly use these poor bastards as leverage to get Congress to authorize payment for this stupid wall that not even Republicans in Congress want.

Trumpistas do not talk to the GOP on the Hill behind closed doors as often as needed.

It's not a point of contention or it's not a board populated mostly by smart people?

    How is this "cowering"?

The current program is unconstitutional. Obama knew this. He said as much.

A court challenge was coming. DOJ couldn't defend it.

Expecting each branch of the government to do it's job is not cowering.

He means it's not a point of contention.

I think this is a pretty academic debate right now.

This is all we're really referencing:

It is precisely because this action is contrary to our spirit, and to common sense...
    ...
Ultimately, this is about basic decency...
    ...
What makes us American is our fidelity to a set of ideals...

Full Statement: READ: Obama's full statement on DACA - CNNPolitics

What about our fidelity to the law?

It's nice to talk about spirit, common sense, decency and ideals.

But, DACA was unlawful. It didn't create a pathway to citizenship.

If Congress wants to grant these kids (some are as old as 40 now, btw) legal status, and a pathway to citizenship, let them come to the White House with legislation that will do that.
