Many sides = can't we all just get along despite our economic uncertainty?

Remember, when the bomb goes off and thousands of people are killed, Fucko will go on teevee and say he knows who did it.

    Who's going to believe him?

    This. Exactly this.

It truly can't be done now, of course, what with someone having been killed. But the best way to combat, to neutralize, to minimize, and finally, to eliminate such demonstrations of stupidity and such needs to make spectacles is to...ignore them.

As in, don't show up, don't counter-protest, don't talk to them. Just, ignore them. The "protest" will end and the demonstrators will go away.

I've seen it happen. In my town. With the KKK. I don't think I've ever been more proud of the city I lived in. The KKK, for all intents and purposes, got laughed out of town just when it thought it might gain a foothold.

Do people really think a mixture of protestors and counter-protestors is ever going to actually end peacefully?

Sometimes, truly, just because you can do something, that doesn't mean you should do it.

Exactly right. This is why Westboro Baptist took its show on the road, people around Topeka quit paying attention and they became nothing more than a joke locally.
