Sondman's "I lost my amigos?" line has hung in my mind for a few hours.

The perfect line at the right moment. And it's the way he delivered it. So cool, without trying.

No one has any idea how this is affecting Trump's base or anyone else, because it's not finished yet. A large majority of the American electorate has yet to really learn what happened today, which was kind of a big day, and we have many days to go. We know that the Republicans in Congress will stick with Trump come what may, because they're in too deep to back out but that's 253 people. Probably 145-150 million will vote in the 2020 general election. It's hard for me to see how all this could be helping Trump, but I acknowledge it could do so, because I just don't know.

About 20 million need to get off the couch to reach those numbers.

Trump will be impeached, there's no doubt. But what I fear is, should something even more serious come to light after the Senate fails to convict ... would the Dems try again?

I don't think that's a bullet that can be fired again, and I bet you Trump knows it.

There were 135 million cast in 2016. Every poll shows a super high level of interest among voters (both sides). Turnout was way up in 2018 and in this year's elections compared to 2014-2015. I think it's a safe estimate.
You can impeach as many times as you want as long as you've got 218 votes.

Your Russian friends can probably create that many votes for Trump.

    I don’t know why I would.

I asked a question. You questioned, I dunno, who I am as a person.
