That still doesn't differentiate public from private, so I'll ask again. Why should employees of private companies have the right to a pension, but not police officers, teachers and other municipal employees?

Because some private companies can afford it. Some can't.

Governments can't. And UNLIKE private companies, government pension crises affect other people.

Yeah, I'm still not seeing any justification for taking benefits away from people who earned them. And that isn't the argument you made earlier, which was that you didn't want your money going to someone else's pension. It just seems to be an excuse for your own selfishness and short-sighted thinking.

Word is that McConnell has a personal beef with Cuccinelli. Trump ignored that and pushed, and he's going to be left twisting in the wind.

Looks like the Norks like Bolton even less than Biden.

Trump's hung another insider out to dry. Not that it isn't a good thing, in Bolton's case, particularly with regard to Iran. Still, he does it to his people until they get sick of it and quit, and this is just another example.

North Korea calls Bolton a ‘defective human product’

Presidents can pardon whomever they wish, sure - but almost all previous have followed a careful protocol and review by the DOJ. It hasn't been made clear whether this President is following procedures.

Most public-employee unions are not allowed to strike.
