It’s not enough for the country to be in danger. We have to be facing death right that very moment before SCOTUS might be stirred to positive action. We are all a pregnant woman from Idaho now.

Just slipping this repost from a 1,000 pages ago.
Anyone who has faith in the American justice system is as delusional as a Trump sneaker wearer.

Any squishy dems and left-leaning independents need this hammered into their thick skulls. This court is awful and illegitimate, and it will be a million times worse for the rest of your lives if trump returns to power.

There already is a Trump trial. In New York. And he's going to be convicted. And presidential immunity doesn't factor in.

Try Jan. 21, if not sundown on the 20th. And Biden won't be in court, he'll be in prison. Fatfuck won't fuck around this time.

Sure. But he must be held accountable for Jan. 6. It's absolutely justice delayed/denied if this thing can be stonewalled to the point the motherfucker who tried to overthrow the government by trying to steal the LAST election can avoid facing trial before the NEXT fucking election. It's goddamned absurd. Rigged system indeed.

"The notion of Mr. Trump's guilt or innocence (or rather, a jury's verdict of guilty or not guilty) is rather, I suppose, juxta punctum for voters at this point. The bare supernumerary of jurors seems to indicate that the ENVIRONMENT of Manhattan as a judicial district is certainly quite unfavorable to the defendant. Now, as a matter of due course, there will be an exhaustive series of appeals which from an attorney/client perspective is obligatory which will then render any verdict (through the lens of an electorate) moot, as it were."

Just watched the special on Buckley that PBS produced and aired a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't help but find it interesting that he thought his sneering, snobbish brand of conservatism appealed to working class stiffs more than the monied and cultured people he was marketing it to.

Team MAGGAT has already come up with the legal theory that any legal actions by any state or local jurisdictions, including criminal prosecution and any subsequent penalties or sentences, or any civil legal actions, against the Commander in Chief, constitute attempts to interfere with (his) function as the ultimate military of the United States, and thus the president has complete authority to order the military to neutralize any such actions BAMN.

So any attempt by the state of New York or any other state to enforce any sanctions whatsoever would be met by B-52s flying low over the state capitol and special forces troops storming in.

That’s the thing people are forgetting (and some want you to forget) about Jan. 6: If those yahoos who stormed the Capitol has just a smidgeon of competence or planning, they could have pulled off their coup, or at least started a violent rebellion.

    We need to remember that.
