The Oshkosh Northwestern, a 25,000-circulation morning daily in Northeastern Wisconsin, has an immediate opening for a full-time preps reporter to join our award-winning sports section. The position involves planning sports coverage, covering games, as well as writing feature, enterprise and trend stories. Degree in journalism or related field required. Previous professional experience a plus, but recent college graduates with intern or similar experience encouraged to apply. Good benefits package (health/401K) and competitive pay. Send resume and clips to Dan Kohn, sports editor, 224 State St., Oshkosh, WI 54901.

What's competitive salary for a 25K circulation in a city that's about 90 miles northwest of Milwaukee? Just curious. Maybe $30,000, or is that way off?

Hey John, why don't you just post your farewell column.

Looking at the site, it looks like a lot of staff bylines on the college and high school stuff. Others is wire copy.

  12. Does anyone know how many people are on the sports staff?
