Preparation H: the ointment of choice in the hot NYC clubs

I don't understand the story it never says what people are using the Preparation H for.
I had heard about women using it to reduce puffiness under the eyes. Is that what this is about?
I honestly don't get the implication of calling it the new club drug.
Are people with big noses trying to use Preparation H to make themselves more attractive so they can pick up at clubs?
Why doesn't the story say how it's being used?

 

They're lathering it on their bodies - ie love handles - to look fit.

 

You know, it might make sense -- coming from someone other than a board member with a avatar of a nearly naked picture of Homer Simpson...

 

So why doesn't the story say that?
Seriously, just because something might provide a slight remedy for bags under a woman's eyes, do people really think it makes their back fat less noticeable?
The back of your neck looks like a pack of hot dogs. Preparation H ain't helping.
