    Oldest may also be my first (I believe)...and it's when I was SE of a twice-weekly. That was 2 papers ago. I don't miss being a 1-man-band.

And there's been no poster like him before or since. :D

Anyhoo, my earliest posts still existing are uncharacteristically long ones on the LiveSTRONG thread (boo on taking that off the thread title, BTW) or ones from when I was in the NIAFL.

My oldest one was from 2005 about page design so we'll skip over that.

But just two or three ones later was a response to this post from a gem of the thread called, "turning down a romp in the hay" :

    That's why I'm still here.

Have you gotten over the nervousness and lack of lubrication?

I registered in July 2004 but only found posts going back as far as 2006. One of the oldest was about a Barcelona-Chelsea Champions League game being shown on tape delay at midnight. Society has come a long way since.

Mine was on the NHL thread in 12/2005. It was a follow-up question to Hank_Scorpio suggesting the Red Wings might consider signing Dan McGillis off waivers.

I did not make a non-hockey post until the following spring.

I was boring then. I am still boring.

This is my first post according to what I could find, though I know that's not accurate because this post is from 06 and I was an SJ regular in college, from which I graduated in 05.

Almost every post from before 2007 is gone. The only threads that still exist were the ones that were active after whatever cutoff came in late 2006 or early 2007.
