I'm only watching in the background, since I'm trying to get, gasp, work done here in the office. Was kind of surprised that Sting would be kicking off the Grammys, but it sounded good.

Only moment better was the all-star cast that they got to play London's Calling a few years back.

that was a rare, once-in-a-lifetime moment for the grammys.

The Police were great. And yes, they are touring this summer. Given how tight they sounded tonight, choosing them over Death Warmed Over, err, Van Halen is an easy choice.

And I think Sting is "only" 55 or so. The guitarist is pushing his mid-60s. They all looked pretty good for their age. Better than Stevie Nicks!!! :D :D :D I keeeeeeeeeeed!!!!

    Dixie Chicks--painful to look at.

    Mandy Moore--worse.

Do you think Natalie Maynes works to be as unlikable as she is or does she come by it naturally?

Christina Aguilera now should be referenced as an orange woman. Nice glow!

When was I supposed to start caring about Mary J. Blige? Did I miss something? Or is tonight the night that she becomes a beloved entertainer? I feel very out of the loop on this one.

I think we're all out of the loop on this one.
Her "Oh, you all used to hate me, but now love me" routine is getting old.
    At warp speed.

Sweet, a Bob Wills song. If only they'd follow it with an Ernest Tubb number.
