Police: Adam Walsh was killed by Ottis Toole

Those were my thoughts exactly. If it helps bring closure to them, good.

 

Most serial killers have a "type" that they stalk and killer. When Bundy killed the girl in Lake City, it was outside his normal realm of victim. Did Toole have a history of killing little boys?

 

They (Adam's biological parents) are divorced right?
Didn't Walsh re-marry?

As a parent of 2 young kids, I can hardly even read the first three sentences of stories like that without having all these horror scenarios running through my head. Does that ever go away?

However, I cannot begin to fathom the combination of grief and guilt that poor mother feels every day.

Actually, he started with squirrels and dogs and people in Ohio.
And none of the victims ever were really young kids; Konerak Sinsathaphome was a 16-year old, and he was the youngest victim. There's no predictable pattern universal to all serial killers, let alone all murderers.
You really ought to research this just a bit better.
