Please make it clear in the thread subject line what the thread is about

To quote Webby's post about the new rules:

As I'm posting this, there are at least three threads that have a subject line that doesn't clearly tell you what the thread is about.

I guess the fact that there are only three is progress, though.

 

Please change the subject line of this thread to "ondeadline is a whiner".

 

I would add that, but it doesn't allow that many more characters.

 

I agree with ondeadline and I have changed some thread subjects recently when they have not given a clear idea of what the topic is. Please try to be specific in your subjects. Thanks.

Surely not.

 

There's one board I go to occasionally that lets you do two thread titles, like a hed and subhed. One is straight, the other flamingly gay funny. Not that I care (except caring allows me to procrastinate further), but I like it. Gives the headline writers freedom to be smartassed and still get the point across.

The thread title ought to read, "ondeadline would be a perfect moderator on SportsJournalists.com."

 

Or "ondeadline's application to be moderator on SportsJournalists.com"
