    Charles Pelkey was a longtime staff writer at Velonews...and last month he was laid off from the magazine.

    And that afternoon he was diagnosed with cancer.

    He's since had 3 surgeries and is undergoing 16 weeks of chemotherapy.

    Some members of the cycling community have started a chipin account for Charles and his family; all it takes is about 20 seconds and a paypal account. Care to skip a Starbucks run and instead contribute to a good man and his family?
