    As noted by Romenesko:

Plagiarism 401, as practiced by the Montgomery County (Tex.) Bulletin and a "Mark Williams." Unbelievable.

I'm sure it was just a mistake or a slip-up.

The author at Slate should be kind to Mark Williams, he probably has a family to feed.

Wow. It seems that "Mark" copied from everyone but Rick Reilly.

I'd be Googling that last phrase, about ice houses, etc., to make sure it wasn't stolen too. Wouldn't shock me.

Maybe they'll assign Jayson Blair to investigate. :)

Sigh. Perhaps the reputable daily referenced has/will do a story. Those folks deserve to know what they're reading is almost 100% stolen.

Wouldn't surprise me if the "writer" and the paper's publisher were the same person with a different name.

AlleyAllen has this to say: He and Little Man read this paper every weekend while having doughnuts. Yes, it is an absolute travesty of plagiarism.
