Pitching on a Friday?

So I've been working an a few pitches for magazines and finally got some ready to go this morning. Is it a good idea to send them out on a Friday afternoon? Or is my email likely to get ignored today and then lost in the shuffle by Monday?

To broaden the discussion a bit, is there a time or day of the week that's better to contact editors at magazines, newspapers, national websites, etc. ?

Personally, I like to do stuff like that middle of the week. Fridays are too rushed... either with weekend coverage or people too eager to get out the door. Mondays some people have hundreds of spam email, so things tend to get lost in the shuffle.

    Just one man's opinion.

    Agree with Mark.

If they take off early Friday, your pitch winds up in the Monday Pile.

    Mid-week would be better.
