From gag reflux to comeback hero in the same game.

Trying to examine this very carefully for "cause to censor"....:)

Win the Super Bowl, Peyton. That's what will separate you from Dan Marino.

Glad he finally won the big one.

  6. Is this really the big one if he falls flat on his face in the SB? I'm just saying...

Point blank: Peyton Manning has never won a game considered "huge" until this one, which got him to the Super Bowl he'd never been in. Never at Tennessee, never at Indy, until now.

Ineed, I hope he can win a Super Bowl and be considered a great NFL quarterback like Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien, Doug Williams and Earl Morrall.

In two weeks will we see Peyton saying he's going to Disney World?

Good point. But as Yawn said, it tops anything he's done so far in his career.

Yeah, Dan Fouts sucked because he never made a SB.
    It's a team sport.
So if the Colts lose, Peyton is less of a QB? No way.

Manning never was a choker. He just happens to play a sport in which the best team usually wins.

Even after all that had been accomplished up to that point, had New England converted that 3rd-and-5 with just over two minutes left . . . he still would be a choker in many people's minds.

    Sad.

In the pre-BCS days, unless your bowl happened to have national championship implications, the SEC Championship Game was pretty much the biggest game an SEC player could participate in.

And Manning was awesome in the SEC title game UT won in 1997.
