People on the Internet are stupid

Good stuff on the "Internet shaming" of a guy who proposed to his girlfriend in the middle of someone else's wedding. Except, shocker, the one picture that went "viral" didn't tell the whole story - that the proposal was the bride's idea in the first place.

It just reinforces my belief that the cons of social media far outweigh the pros.

Every time I get tempted to get on Facebook or some social media, I remember that everyone -- including the idiots -- can see and comment on everything I post.

Privacy is a wonderful thing. Too bad it's pretty much gone.

 

I thought for sure this was another Elon Musk-bashing thread.

Eh. It's still tacky to propose at a wedding.

But it is lesson number infinity and one that things aren't always as they seem.

 

I thought this was going to be about that Russian trolling operation.

Made me wonder about a couple of posters here.
