Let's see how good you are when you don't KNOW the teams. ;)

Pennsylvania's state basketball finals are Friday and Saturday at Penn State's Bryce Jordan Center. Four classes boys; four classes girls.

    Pick winners.

I don't live in the state anymore, so I forgot everything I knew. :D

    BOYS

    Class AAAA: Chester
Class AAA: Susquehanna Twp. (I can't trust a state finalist that has trouble with Bradford)
    Class AA: Jeannette
    Class A: Sierra Catholic

    GIRLS

I saw Mt. Alverina play last year. That's all I got.

(Shottie, could you send me an MTO?)

    Boys
AAAA -- Chester ... the molester.
    AAA -- Susqefragicalisticexpedalidious
AA -- Strawberry Mansion was one of the rejected song titles for Sheena Easton's Sugar Walls.
A -- Serra Catholic. Got nothing to add.

    Girls
AAAA -- Time to flog Central Dauphin.
AAA -- Mount St. Joseph sounds like the worst porno ever, but I'm picking them anyway.
AA -- Northern Cambria. When are the Pope worshipers going to be banned from the tourney?
A -- Mt. Alvernia sounds like a porno too, only I have this image of someone named Alvernia as an obese middle-aged woman from the Middle Ages with both scurvy and chlamydia, who had all her parts from The Name Of The Rose cut. Better pick Marian Catholic.

    BOYS
AAAA -- Chester (TOmmy LaSorda's from Norristown. Fuck them)
AAA -- Sesquehanna (Slowly they win. Step by step. Inch by inch.)
AA -- Strawberry Fields (Am sick of Terrelle Pryor. Does he play baseball too?)
A -- Serra (Do we need ANOTHER Philly team here?)

    GIRLS
AAAA -- Mount Lebanon (I love it when girls mount... )
AAA -- Mt. St. Joseph (Pri-vate schools -- clap, clap, clap clap clap)
AA -- Northern Cambria (Fuck York. Am so sick of lean Dean)
    A -- Elvira (My heart's on fire)

  6. Class AAAA: Chester, only loss is to St. Benedict's, which is No. 1 or 2 in the USA Today poll. Chester is No. 3, maybe?

    That's it for me

Wow, this is a tournament I don't miss a bit (OK, maybe just a little):

    Class AAAA: Chester
Class AAA: Rollers. All. The. Way. Play up, kick ass. Good to see a District 3 matchup in the final for once, too.
    Class AA: Strawberry Mansion.
    Class A: Freire Charter.

    GIRLS
Class AAAA: Central Dauphin (when did they go 4A?)
Class AAA: Mercyhurst. Too much tradition.
    Class AA: York Catholic.
    Class A: Marian Catholic.

Chester, Steelton High, Jeannette (then Terrelle Pryor announces he is choosing Community College because he needs more time to decide), Freier Charter

    Central Dauphin, Mercyhurst, York, Marian.

And if my numbers are correct.....

In the boys draw only one out of eight teams is a private school.

In the girls draw five out of eight teams are private schools and there could be three out of four champions private schools.
