wow I am honored to think that my writing would pass for that as such an accomplished sports writer as Jeff but alas I am not him.

So you're arguing with Pearlman on this point, when he just admitted on the blog that he was way too cocky for some period of time -- during which some folks had contact with him and made an assessment that lingers?

That seems arrogant, thinking you know better than the guy himself! ;D

hmmm. interesting. jeff, who obviously reads our beloved SportsJournalists.com, has changed "skewered" to "warped." warped works, but his first choice was clearly to use "skewed." amusing to me that he did not simply change "skewered" to "skewed."

i'm the last one to question another writer's limited vocabulary -- my verbal SAT scores were nothing to boast -- so i suppose i'm strangely reassured to see an accomplished sportswriter also struggle to find the right word. :D :D :D

I believe the handle he was using at that point was "biff.

I have to say -- he sure has had a stange relationship with SJ.

It could well be that I don't know my words as well as I think.
Are "cocky" and "arrogant" considered roughly the same? I ask that seriously. I never considered them that way but I've been way wrong before.

I can carry on a conversation wherever I'd like, thank you. The over-the-top criticism, nitpicking and paranoid accusations are ridiculous.
