Peanut Tillman: Hall of Famer?

To me, he and Ronde Barber have been the perfect Cover 2 corners. Many people think Barber eventually will make the Hall of Fame, but why not Tillman?

Barber is 37 and has 978 tackles, 46 picks, 14 forced fumbles and 12 defensive TDs.

Tillman is 31 and has 655 tackles, 32 picks, 30 forced fumbles and 8 defensive TDs.

I think Tillman is well on his way, despite no one outside Chicago noticing him until the last couple years.

 

He shut Megatron the fuck down last night.

 

It was a hell of a performance. Tillman is a definite gamer -- the better the competition, the better he plays. And he's been the one highlight in an otherwise average secondary in years leading up to this one. I think he's a candidate, at least.
