Does anyone have any real info on fathers going to jail on civil contempt for not paying child support? Aren't you able to modify a child-support order if you lose your job?

In related news, Terrell Owens, the piece of crap that he is, could face jail for not paying child support because he claims to not have any money.

That's a doozy of a civil rights lawsuit waiting to happen right there.

There is precedent from SCOTUS favoring jailing on civil contempt.

But is there precedent from SCOTUS about dragging an old man on his back through an orange-painted background by an anarchonistic keystone kop with a modified baton? Because I tend to doubt it!

However old he was, it would have been so simple to kick his way out of that "hold."

Whether he could have gotten up and run away in time, well, that's another matter entirely. Maybe he knew he wouldn't be able to get away, and so he was just content to roll the dice three times and hope for doubles on the first or second tries. While not bending over in the shower to pick up the soap.

The cop probably got pissed off at him because he said he couldn't support support his kids when he only receives $200 in salary, and then ends up losing 10 percent of it to income tax. If he didn't blow all of his money on Baltic Avenue, he would have enough for his kids.

Some of this is out of his control. He invested in utilities but everyone kept rolling low numbers. He was always one number away from cashing in on the Free Parking lotto. And despite his best efforts, his travels kept making him stay in hotels in the green zone owned by that goddamned thimble.

That's not entirely true, what about the occasional bank error in his favor?
