I could see him fitting that role in a good way.
Not all about him, but he could throw out the one-liners easily.

    How about Mark Sommers?
He used to be on Nickelodeon game shows back in the day (What Whoud you Do? and Double Dare) so I think younger fans would accept him as host. He also has this nice quality that older fans would like. I think hes doing this food type show on the Discovery channel.

TPIR doesnt need a HUGE star. The SHOW is the star. Bob wasn't a huge star when he came to TPIR was he?

He had a good run on another game show -- Truth or Consequences? -- before TPiR.

No, but it needs a little personality too. I see Sommers as too low-key...
Drew Carey? Maybe.... but not as a pitchman... delivery is all wrong.

I love Marc Summers, and I grew up with him on Double Dare, but he can be as dry as day-old rye toast.

He's why I crawl through the couch for my remote. Otherwise, I'd probably just be content to sit and watch the Food Network.

Speaking of, how about Al Roker?

He's hosted stage versions of TPIR..... everything would have to be perfect, to please his OCD, but I would accept him as a Barker replacement..

I saw on the news that Rosie turned this down. John O'Hurley would be a tremendous hire... I might actually watch the show if he gets it...

Nahh... this job needs the right touch of excitement.. and Wicked's right: he's too dry...

If you're gonna go that route, Willard Scott would be the one to pull it off.

Speaking of which ... I could see Willard pulling it off VERY well.

Willard Scott? How old is he, like 85?
Edit: He's 73. But I think that's a bit older than they'd be shooting for with this hire.
