I'm with you on Napoleon Dynamite. I fell asleep in the theater -- on a date, no less. I bought the disc to see what I missed, and I'll probably never watch it again. It's not that it was bad so much, though it seemed extremely long and slow, but it didn't live up to any of the hype.

  7. I'll second a lot of previously named films: Napoleon Dynamite, Chariots of Fire, The Rock, The Departed, anything by Stanley Kubrick.

I'll throw out any Woody Allen movie in the 80s/early 90s (dark, unfunny comedies) and a pair of Tom Cruise flicks:
    1) Top Gun - More homoeroticism than gay porno, but with cheesier dialogue.
    2) Jerry Maguire - Anyone else notice Cuba Gooding Jr. has played this exact damn role in every one of his films?

I might get crucified for this, but I'd add Borat to the list.

I've seen bits and pieces of it.

Unfunny doesn't begin to describe it.

Couldn't stand The Rock, yet everyone I know loves it. Nicholas Cage's acting was bad even for Cage, I'm talking CSI Miami levels of bad. Connery had already hit the going-through-the-motions stage of his career, so that was expected. Cheesy dialogue throughout.
