    So who are the No. 1s? I say Lincoln, Jefferson, FDR and I can't decide.

    George Washington is a sentimental No. 1 for most, I'm sure, but he didn't do a whole lot as president. Everything he did before, of course, is what got him there.

    I wonder what Hamilton might have done if he hadn't, you know, gotten shot in a duel. He was a touch on the side of a monarchy when it came to economics, but he did write half the Constitution.

    EDIT: Found a bracket; double elimination type, but dont look at the loosers bracket....

    I probably would too. WWII pulled the country out of the Depression more than anything FDR did.

    FDR.... the country was out of the depression by the time the US entered world war ii
