Anyone else read the piece in ESPN the magazine this week about the All-State soccer players from New Mexico who are illegal? I read it a few days ago and heard it being discussed on the radio this afternoon.

Some of the stuff, such as hoping to avoid checkpoints even when on bus trips for school matches, made it an interesting read.

The one I feel for the most in the story is the kid who was brought here when he was 1, has grown up here and considers himself an American. His parents have really put him in a bad position, because even if he goes back to Mexico, he's going to a place he doesn't know at all.

Anyway, I don't have a link, but I was just curious to see what others thought.
