    Your own society?

You can thank my ancestors for helping to create American society as we both know it. I am descended from nine generations of New England Yankees, after all.

I've long thought we'd never see his body. I have serious doubts we'll ever be able to prove he's dead. And I think the lack of any legal wrangling anywhere in the middle east over his estate probably debunks the current OBL is dead reports. But perhaps that's just me.

The fact that this thread started because of a FRENCH report should be a clue that Osama ISN'T dead.

OK, so who had Osama in the death pool?

There's no wrangling over his estate because its dispersal has probably been even and judicious. And maybe he had no estate. A large portion of his wealth was confiscated years ago.

I would bet my bottom dollar that he's dead. This isn't a Bruce Willis movie where you survive the kind of shelling that Tora Bora took. And if that didn't do him in, medical experts have already said he was at failing renal capacity five years ago. That's not something you just get better from, either.
