    It is my guess that most voters will view Manny as a guy who would have been a Hall of Fame player without the juice.

    It is also my guess that most voters will view guys like Palmeiro and McGwire as guys who would not have been. Palmeiro likely kept his level of production artifically high late in his career. McGwire would have solely been in on massive power numbers. That's why they're out.

    What Gee said makes sense to me.

    And Manny could flat-out hit. Power, average, all of it. If he juiced and he put up those numbers against juiced pitchers, well, that's the way it turned out. He's still in.

    The Hall of Fame can't put the genie back in the bottle. The players are going to have to be judged against their peers on a case by case basis.
