Everybody I knew watched Uncle Bobby as a very young child, thanks to CFTO in Toronto. He'll be missed. :'(

Uncle Bobby was one of those TV icons who believed tiny viewers are the most special of all.

Along with CBC's Bob Homme (The Friendly Giant) and Fred Rogers (Mister Rogers' Neighborhood) on PBS, he catered to the special needs and interests of preschool children.

Bobby Ash's death from a heart attack Sunday in Elliot Lake marked the end of an era. He was 82.

I thought he'd died ages ago. I'm convinced he was gunned all the time. Bimbo the birthday clown and Officer John mourn.

Funny, our friend FW (from the press box) has often said the same thing.

Then, that's good enough for me. We both can't be wrong can we?
