Only in Canada. Howard Dean gives pep talk at Liberal leadership convention

    He told about 2,500 delegates at the Palais de Congres in Montreal that opposition political parties — such as his in the United States and theirs in Canada — can win elections by going after every vote.

    “Whether it is the Liberal Party or the Democratic Party, we should never cede a single region or province, never cede a single state or city. Nor should we ever cede a single voter. Not a single one,” Dr. Dean said.


    Dr. Dean, a physician before he entered politics in 1980, is the former governor of Vermont and claims a close relationship with his northern neighbours in Quebec. In fact, early in his speech Dr. Dean switched to speaking French. “Won't Fox News hate this?” he said, to laughter and applause.

    Maybe we can send Stephen Harper down to straighten Fredo out.
