could use help, please. i'm putting together a top 5 list to play off of kellen clemens getting folks excited for one good quarter for the jets the other day.

i'm looking for guys who got fans excited with one game or brief stretch, then flopped. like browning nagle, scott mitchell, the cowboys' thanksgiving-day hero whatshisname, etc. names, anyone? ??? ??? ???

C'mon shockey, you're missing the most obvious one: Ray Lucas. Goes 6-2 or something down the stretch for the woebegone '99 Jets and nearly makes the playoffs...then never does anything ever again.

The Cowboys' guy was Jason Garrett, I think.

Ryan Fitzpatrick for the Rams two years ago. Third-string quarterback, comes in to lead the team to a comeback win over the Texans (bomb to Isaac Bruce in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter, then throws a short pass that Kevin Curtis turns into a touchdown in OT). Makes another start or two, doesn't win again. Traded to the Bengals at the end of this year's camp.

Clint Longley was the cowboy's qb in the Thanksgiving game, 1974.

Speaking of the topic, who is the only quarterback to start a Super Bowl for two different teams?

And what is the only team in the NFL that has drafted three Super Bowl winning quarterbacks?
