One good thing about the economy: Drunken driving plummets

The CDC says drunken driving incidents were down 30 percent in 2010. The main reason cited is that people can't afford bars, night clubs, etc., so they just drink at home:

Think of how many hilarious stories are being missed out on.

 

I can't believe the story missed this -- that so many states and cities now ban smoking indoors, including in bars. I would think that is keeping some drunks at home.

 

Video games cost $49 a pop for the good ones. That's three bottles of vodka.

 

Of course you're also eliminating from possibility the roughly 95 percent of women who consider smoking a vile and disgusting habit.

 

Borrowing from another thread, however, you're hugely increasing the odds under the "if she smokes, she fucks" rule.

 

I can't afford to drive or drink anymore, so I just guzzle the antifreeze.

 

But it's easier for them to run away. There's no crowd or a door.
