On this July 4 weekend, I am going to...

I'm walking the world's largest 10K race, in which my son is running. After that, we're retiring to my brother's where there will be bbq and alcohol aplenty. Return home around 8 PM to watch muni fireworks. Collapse from exhaustion after that.

 

Work. And look for a new place to rent. And possibly go to more of the trials.

 

Tonight: Either a day-early festival with fireworks, the local minor league nine with fireworks, or the local short track, which is probably on life support.

Friday: Cookout at the in-laws. Oh yay.

Saturday: Day trip to Braves-Astros. Makes up for Friday.

 

Talk with the wife, who's in South Africa for a month and a half. Possibly engage in phone sex. Weep. Movie marathon in Times Square.

 

drink beer while I tube the Guadalupe.

 

Drink.
Go to neighbors for BBQ and watch fireworks.
Drink.
Lawn work and wash cars.
Drink.
Take youngest son to see Wall E.
Take oldest son out on roadways with his learners permit for the first time.
Drink heavily.

 

You might want to reverse the last two.
