If you've never seen On The Waterfront (or if you have seen it and love it like me), it will be on at 8 p.m. tonight on TCM. It is Brando's best acting job and a wonderful performance by Lee J. Cobb. Not to be missed.

    Am I a bum if I don't watch?

Maybe not a bum, but a no-good palooka!

Good one, Led. Songbird beat me to it but I will add that you could-a been somebody.

Rod Steiger and Karl Malden aren't bad, either.

    Don't forget Eva Marie-Saint...

Watch this movie so you can have class and be a contender, instead of having a one-way ticket to Palakooville

Wasn't this the film Elia Kazan did to justify naming names during the McCarthyism witchhunt?

Additionally, others wanted to change the ending of this film but Kazan refused. Brando played the euphemistic role of Kazan and ... well I just won't spoil it for those that haven't seen it.

Great movie. Almost the best (Casablanca, that's who).

"Is he D and D, or is he a canary?"
