By 2024 the signage thing will be irrelevant. Everything will be LEDs (or something newer) and will be changeable in an instant.

Of course it won't. Teams go on extended road trips for a variety of different reasons.

Don't forget the Spurs' annual "rodeo road trip" and the Bulls' Barnum and Bailey Circus road trip. I remember when the circus came to the Omni in Atlanta, the Hawks would hit the road for a few weeks (and the media parking lot smelled like elephants for at least a month after they returned).

WRONG AGAIN. The IOC is in cahoots with the NHL **AND** the NBA, they scratch each other's nutsacks, everything would be worked out with a liberal application of the magic lubricant Mon-Ey.

You don't know what your talking about, like usual. The NBA would not play a game through the Olympic period, it simply would not happen.

You have no idea what is done to these buildings for the Olympics, it is not as simple as the Kings playing after a Clipper game.

The IOC and NBA are multibillion-dollar corporations with a cozy mutual relationship. They make anything happen that will make them money. The IOC gets a big promotional boost from an audience (NBA viewers) who might not be watching otherwise. And vice versa.

When billionaire corporations need their dicks licked by other billionaire corporations, it will happen. Ensuring corporate dicks are licked is one of the highest priorities in our modern world.

Star, the deal is none of that is necessary. Long road trips are routinely arranged for all sorts of reasons. Just for logistical reasons alone (not to mention coverage from local media being dedicated to the Games), I would think any NBA team would rather hit the road for three weeks than have to deal with the mess of playing a home game in the middle of the Olympic madhouse.

"So what do you want to see tonight, honey? The 100 meters finals or the Royals and Blue Jays?"[/bluefont]

Wasn't an obstacle for Salt Lake in 2002.

Winter Olympics in 2002 went from Feb. 8-24.

Jazz played their last home game on Feb. 2. Then had a nine-game road trip during the Olympics and returned home Feb. 28.

Feb. 4 at Houston; Feb. 5 at Memphis; Feb. 12 at Indiana; Feb. 14 at Philadelphia; Feb. 15 at Toronto; Feb. 1`7 at New York; Feb. 18 at Cleveland; Feb. 20 at Denver; Feb. 26 at Sacramento.

Rough, yes, but there was a week off in there and another six-day break.

NBA players love being on the road anyway. Who wants to screw nobody but his own wife for three weeks?
