Olberman's a pompous ass who's firmly convinced he will always be the coolest guy in the room. Smarmy is the word that best describes this jerk.

While all true, it doesn't change the fact he's right about Rita Cosby.

And would it kill Cosby to do a show that's NOT about Natalee Holloway?

I think Rita's already forgotten about poor Natalee.

So the difference between KO and O'Reilly, Donohue, Hannity, Geraldo, Dr. Phil, Dan Rather, Ted Koppel, Mike Wallace, Oprah, and Tim Russert is...?

I think a larger issue here is something I've mentioned before: Whether you're Keith Olbermann or the youth sportswriter at the Bumblefuck Bugle, don't EVER respond to an e-mail from a viewer/reader/critic/fan by saying something that could be embarrassing if it gets out.

Any of these people could sell you out or put it on a message board. I always try to keep it simple and factual when responding to reader e-mails, as opposed to saying, 'yeah, you're right, Coach Kleats is a complete doofus who cheats on his wife with co-eds.'

That said, Olbermann is right about Cosby, plus she sounds as if she's either gargling underwater or has been smoking since age 6.

Olbermann takes down Rita Cosby. Olbermann takes down O'Reilly. Olbermann takes down the Ann Coulter, Barney the Dinosaur and Keebler elf. OK, we get it. That's what KO does. He rips people. Real talent to that. It smacks of someone desperate for attention and ratings.

Or perhaps some of these people need taking down and no one else will do it.

So when Mike Wallace shows up at Billy Ray's Auto Repair Shoppe in East Rim Rock, New Mexico to expose a bogus oil change scam, that's talent?

As opposed to Cosby, O'Reilly and Coulter, who would NEVER do anything in a desperate bid for attention.

Grove has a standing beef with Olbermann after being named "Worst Person in the World" earlier this year. He referred to him as Krazy Keith, and it's pretty clear he's going to write anything which he thinks could hurt the guy - note the way he tries to shade KO's vacaction to make it seem like it could be something else.

As for the Cosby comment, Olbermann is absolutely right. While the rest of the world was covering the aftermath of Katrina, that imbecile Cosby was in Aruba on day 99 of "non-stop Natalee - all missing white girl, all the time" coverage.

When was the last time a thread was started about what Olbermann actually had to say on an issue?

Sure, a lot of big names in the media are ego-driven attention whores. That ain't breaking news. But if Olbermann is so much smarter than all these people he continually attacks, why does he spend so much time giving them more attention?

Maybe there's not as much there as he would like everyone to believe and he's just hiding that fact behind the personal attacks.
