Many of the few hours in college I wasn't working or partying were spent playing four-player Goldeneye on the Nintendo64. Good times.

I have to admit I was partial to ExciteBike on the original NES. If I had the power cord to my Atari, though, I'd play that.

    Breakout and Pong rocked.

The 360 is by far the coolest video game console I've ever seen. I can't believe how awesome the graphics are on my HDTV. I'd definitely recommend it.

From conception to birth to death: RIP, XBox360.

Anybody have experience with sending theirs back and getting a new one?

Heaven needed one more 360 for its Halo 3 party.

Yes. Do it online instead of calling. It saves a lot of time. You'll get a new one in about 2-3 weeks depending on where you live. They also kick in free month of Xbox Live Gold.

With all the systems out at least a year now, where do we stand on the issue? I'm thinking of getting the Xbox or PS3 for myself for Christmas but still don't know where to go.

I'm a PS2 guy over the original Xbox, but I know very little about the games for the next-gen systems.

I had planned on just kind of riding out the HD-DVD/BluRay war to see which system I was going to go with, but that doesn't seem to show any signs of shaking itself out and I'm getting antsy for a new system.
