    My favorite anthem of all time is still James Brown's at the McDonald's All-America Game in Atlanta in 1983. Heeeeeeeey!

    1) Ah, the wisdom spnited ... RIP.

    2) Covering a senior day water polo match a year or so ago, the MC said, "And now we'll have the national anthem. We don't have a flag, so we'll pretend the scoreboard is a flag." I sat down.

    3) The playing of the anthem is part of every San Francisco Giants radio broadcast ... sponsored by a local credit union. You think that's bad, they also have a local law firm sponsor the reading of the disclaimer!
