Sold out game in Corvallis - Michigan is throwing lefty Mike Wilson Beavers counter with Mike Stutes a 9-4 righty with a 4.05 ERA.
Beavs wearing their home whites with "BEAVERS" across the front. Wolverines in their road greys with "Michigan" across the chest and ubiquitous "NIKE" swoosh on the front. Coleman Field features a FieldTurf infield with the only dirt at the home plate and pitchers mound.
Jason Christian flies deep to left field on the first pitch. Brad Roblin up next and walks on five pitches. Nate Recknagel, the Wolverines first baseman batting third, Stutes throws over to first to keep Roblin honest. Roblin takes off as Recknagel flies out to right. Beavers complete double play with throw to first and the half inning ends. Michigan 0, Oregon State 0.

I guess we'll know when this thread doesn't end well.

Tell us about the blonde sitting on the home side about six rows up. Is she enjoying that coke and, as a follow, is that rum or bourbon in it?

Lefty Mike Wilson whiffs the first two Beavers Shortstop Darwin Barney swings on a strike 3 but gets to first when the ball goes into the dirt and to the backstop. Wilson puts another one into the dirt facing Mike Lissman and Barney reaches second. Interesting graphic on ESPN - Wilson leads Michigan with 12 wild pitches this year. Lissman walked to put runners on first and second. DH Jason Ogata up for the Beavers and opens with a 2-0 count before Ogata swings and misses. Count goes to 3-2, with runners going on the pitch, Ogata swings and misses for strike three. Beavers leave two on.
End of 1st Michigan 0, Oregon State 0.

Oregon State wearing their "old" caps the very '90s OSU across the top. Their "new" caps are an interlocking OS, designed to create a "unique" identity from Oklahoma State and Ohio State. Zack Putnam leads off for Michigan and goes down swinging. Fans are lining the field. Peaking over from the outfield walls. Interesting note: OSU had to scramble for bleachers after lending some of theirs out after their regular season ended. They didn't think there would be more games at Coleman this year. Rain doesn't seem likely today. (fly out to right for out number 2) Catcher Doug Pickens up and fans on a high inside pitch.
Going into bottom of the second: Michigan 0, Oregon State 0

Why don't you just go across the street and blog from the bar?

That's what a complete fucking loser Joe Fan suggested in the comments section of the L-ville paper.

    Fuck that fucking guy.

Mitch Canham grounds out to short for the first out of the Beavers half of the second inning. Right fielder Braden Wells gets plunked on a down and in pitch from Wilson. Third baseman Lonnie Lechelt up. Wilson throwing over to first to keep Wells honest. The Beavers third base coach has a "play chart"? on his left wrist, similar to what you'd see on a quarterback. Interesting. Wilson throwing a lot of pitches early on, 44 according to Gary Thorne. Lechelt walks on a full count pitch low and inside. Runners at first and second with one out. Wilson's control not very good. First baseman Jordan Lennerton is up batting lefty. Wilson pretty strong against lefties. Beavers pull off a double steal! Pitch high to take the count to 3-1. Lennerton fouls down the first base line to run the count full. Another ball down in the dirt and Lennerton gains the walk. Bases loaded. Beavers go back to the top of the order with Hopkins up and he walks on four pitches with a pitch high to walk in Wells. Beavers lead 1-0. Second baseman Joey Wong up for Oregon State and takes the first pitch for a ball and Wilson gets pulled for righty Powers who walks Wong for another Beaver run. 2-0 Barney lines to right-center field to drive in two more runs. Oregon State 4, Michigan 0. Runners on the corners. Left fielder Lissman up and Barney takes off from first and steals second without drawing a throw. The reliever Power opens up with a 3-0 count to Lissman before Lissman fouls off a pitch. Lissman jammed into a fly out to short for out number two on the next pitch. Ogata swings and misses on a dropped strike 3 and thrown out at first for the end of the inning.
End of 2nd inning: Oregon State 4, Michigan 0

Derek Vanbuskirk, the Wolverines left fielder, leads off the third for Michigan and hits a ground ball just past shortstop Barney into left field. Left handed hitter Kevin Cislo up and goes down swinging on the fastball from Stutes. Centerfielder Eric Rose attempts a bunt down the third base line but it rolls foul he then jumpst on a pitch and sends it high and deep to left field for a fly out. There isn't a whole lot of wind in Corvallis today. Shortstop Jason Christian up for Michigan and takes the first three pitches for a 2-1 count. Stutes gets a gift of a strike two, low and inside, and gets Christian to go down swinging for the third strike. End of the top of the third: Oregon State 4, Michigan 0.

Michigan reliever Michael Powers remains on the mound and Mitch Canham leads off with a bouncer up the middle that Powers can't reach. Rightfielder Braden Wells swings at a low and away pitch for the first out of the inning. Lonnie Lechelt up and misses on a bunt attempt and takes another pitch for a 1-2 count. Another ball outside, but Lechelt swings and misses on the next pitch for out number 2. First baseman Jordan Lennerton up. Powers is missing low and the count goes to 3-1. Lennerton drives it deep to left-center. Canham makes it safely to third after the throw goes up the line. Lennerton stays at first. Runners at the corners. Two outs. Nice to see the Beavers giving their props to Virginia Tech on the back of their batting helmets with the familiar VT logo. Hopkins goes down looking for out 3.
End of Three full: Oregon State 4, Michigan 0.

Brad Roblin grounds out to third and can't beat the throw despite a bobble. Nate Recknagel, flied out to rightfield for the second out. A pretty quick inning so far for Wilson. Zach Putnam, who pitched in the first game of the series, steps in and takes two balls before a big swing and a miss. Fouls off the fourth offering to even the count at two. Another foul ball. And then the whiff, swing and a miss.
End of the top of the fourth: Oregon State 4, Michigan 0.

That it's silly to eject somebody for blogging from a pressbox when the same guy can sit in a bar and blog about the game as well.

    Just a thought.
