I'm hoping he goes to Kentucky. The dominoes would be fun to follow.

Here's what the skies will look like over Gainesville when Donovan signs with Kaintucky:

So who does Kentucky go after next if Donovan stays in Florida?

4 choices I would start with.

    Mark Fox
    Bill Self
    Rick Pitino
    Travis Ford

I'm mystified by the idea that they would give Pitino serious consideration. What am I missing here?

Kentucky. It's either him or Calipari, and Donovan won't get the Wildcats the death penalty in five years.

Pitino has already said he's not interested.
Travis Ford is 10 years from being ready if he ever is.
    Mark Fox?

    I think it's Gillispie.

Mark Fox has done a pretty good job with Nevada, and he's got Kentucky roots IIRC. Also looks remarkably like Jeff Van Gundy.

Sorry, sc, but I have a theory that you have to have a certain coaching pedigree to be able to handle everything that comes with a job like UK, UNC, Duke, Kansas, UCLA...the top tiers.

    Nevada ain't it.
