    Thanks for all your input. I'm just going to give the hiring contact a ring when I'm in town -- I already gave her the dates when I would be there, so she has been given advance notice. I'll let everyone know how it works out.

    If you don't get a formal interview, try for an informational interview where you don't ask about a job. If you have a decent personality, it can't hurt.

    His original pre-cut version probably was auto-saved.

    Show the original before the six inches was cut and the original "attribution," if it's there.
