Oden question from last weekend

    I never saw this answered anywhere, but why was Oden allowed to finish out that game last weekend while he had blood all over his jersey?
    It's not like its that hard to get rid of it now that they've got the spray bleach.

    I think I can shed some light on this.

    My seat on press row was near midcourt behind the possession arrow. When Oden was heading off the court, I heard the officials tell Thad Matta that he needed to pull out the backup jersey.

    They talked for a second, and one of the OSU team doctors said they had sterilized the jersey after he started bleeding. This explanation seemed to satisfy the officials, who allowed Oden to immediately return.

    That's what I heard.
