Obama, schools ponder best course on student fare

Tough week for Michelle Obama and feminists everywhere. First the info about working moms & obesity and now this:

And, don't get mad at me about the working mom thing. You'll never hear me argue that women should stay at home full time. In fact. I'll argue just the opposite. So, don't shoot the messenger.

 

As the article mentions, getting from correlation to causation there is pretty tough. So many confounding factors.

I'm still convinced the benefits of breastfeeding vs. formula are overstated, because it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy that the best moms (the ones who were going to give their child plenty of guidance and attention in the first place) flock to whatever is suggested to be the best.
