From El Pipeline, not a job opening but job news anyway:

Greg Bishop from the Seattle Times was hired by the
NYT yesterday. Seattle won't fill his ga/ enterprise position

  2. Good for Greg. Bad for Seattle.

  3. What a huge hit for Seattle to not re-hire him on top of losing him. Wow. Greg's young, too. Probably about 26 or 27. Syracuse guy, if I'm not mistaken.

P.S. Is he the new Knicks writer there?

    More from Pipeline about Seattle:

I was contacted about a copy editor (on news side) opening about two weeks ago by a hiring authority at Seattle Times. We were set to go on an editing test ... well, that was until 1 1/2 hours later when she e-mailed me back saying that the execs had decided that there would be no new hires. I think I would call that a "hiring freeze" myself.

Seattle recently posted for a sports copy editor opening.

The Times hired a graphics person last week, so it's probably not a complete freeze.

Shiiit … I can barely draw stick figures, let alone design graphics.

  11. What's up with Karen Crouse?
