NY Times Media Columnist David Carr Has Passed Away

It might not be sports related, but worth a post. The man was a personification of the journalism industry, and wrote a column on Brian Williams this week that is an absolute much read. A rough week for this profession to lose a man of his character and integrity. RIP

DB, but I like this thread title better. I was thinking I would have to update my NFL roundup. Terrible news, and he collapsed in the newsroom. Sad.

 

Very strange. No mention of cause of death. No line, even, that said the hospital had no cause of death. I always thought his was a reliable and reasonable voice on the state of the modern media.

 

Carr didn't pass away. He died. ... He died abruptly, too.
