    Best posted his item at 12:46. The first comment on your post, at 2:51, notes that Newsday's had it for two hours.

    So I'll stick with Newsday.com. Thanks though. Blogs!

    It's always pleasant to read about a columnist who makes a pile of money. Roberts is obviously very very talented. I have never ever ever agreed with one of her columns, and don't care for her overall perception of sports, but's that irrelevant. You've got to be pretty good to hold a reader who violently disagrees with your worldview.

    Surprised nobody's mentioned the gutting of the best sports section (subjective, of course) in newspapers.

    They've lost how many writers this year?

    What is the NY Times doing in response? Hiring any proven people? Or still trying to create its own future stars, by recruiting pliable 28-year-olds?
